Sunday Dolls

So Dolls, here we are, another weekend has almost passed and I hope you all had fun. I've been reading a few magazines lately, trying to get some inspiration. And you know what there aren't a whole lot of really body positive things/images around.

It's all about how to drop those last few pounds or to get rid of that muffin top - and while these are probably really super helpful tips, life is meant to be lived and enjoyed and there is no way in hell that I'm going to spend the rest of my days counting calories - I do eat healthy and I work out every day, but that is for my health not so I can be a size 0 or whatever. Because It's just impossible for me to be a size 0, I'm 5'11 so if I was I really would be ill and I would probably look a whole lot worse than I do right this minute.

But I wanted to start a weekly Sunday post about body love and acceptance. Beauty comes from within, from your soul and personality not your waist line. Looks are nothing if you have an ugly personality. And I think sometimes an ugly personality can come from insecurity, we are all made different. That's Gods plan, I mean how boring would it be if we were ALL EXACTLY THE SAME? And really that's the one thing everyone has in common, we are all different.

So from now on Sundays on this blog are reserved for the fabulous ladies that embrace and love themselves just the way they are, curves and all and look fabulous while doing so! If you would like to be featured on this post please email me at: toomanysequins@hotmail.com!

So the first of today's Sunday Dolls is Tess, a lush model for 17Sundays. Tess is simply stunning in this photo, She is modeling the 17Sundays Dress "Getting Over You". And I'm simply dying over her complexion and how it mixes in with her lovely red hair! The dress is pretty darn hot too!

This dress really is amazing, and so is Tess. 17Sundays have some wonderful pieces, check out their site here! And I can never stop saying just how wonderful their "Never going to happen" leggings are!

Last but not least, its the amazingly stylish Rikke, From Sticky Sweet Danish! To me her fashion sense has such a laid back but very sophisticated vibe.... in other words - Perfect!

I think I'd happily kill for the shoes she is wearing in these photos, simply to die! I really love how she's put this outfit together, the length of the skirt is perfect with the shoes, making her legs look like they go on forever, but the longer blazer, gives it really nice balance. The stripes give it the whole look a very chic vibe, and the glasses are a little sassy, but I love that it adds a bit of quirky-ness - we all know how I adore a quirk!

I would really love to hear from anyone who would love to be featured in these posts, I think its such a great idea to show the world that beauty and style are not mutually exclusive with size 0.

Until next time xox <3

  1. Oooh, that's me!!! Thanks so much for doing this post, I'm happy it'll be a series! It's so important to get the message across, that healthy does not equal a size 0 and that you can be beautiful and stylish at any size! You are the best x
