OOTD: Daisy Chain

I haven't stopped smiling all day. The sun is shining and the weather is simply perfect! Also my new dresses from Torrid are amazing! So what's not to smile about?

"T-Back" Dress (US26) - Torrid
"John Lennon" Sunglasses - Asos
Tan Leather Bag - Vintage, from Mrs. Peel Vintage
Cork & Lace Flatforms (11) - Target

How amazing is this whole outfit? it sort of all just fell together while getting dressed! And it all turned into this retro, 1950's/1960's outfit. I got a US size 26 in this dress because there is no stretch in it, and I always size up just in case with particular dresses. And I just felt with this one I should. I'm glad I did because it fits perfect. And I am sooooo happy with it! <3

This is one of THE sweetest dresses I own and that's a fact! I love that it looks like it could be a halter neck but it isn't (I'm not a huge fan of tie halter necks), I love that it feels so fitted. I love the yellow lace at the bottom and the cute little bow on the waist! It's a very girl dress, with a very retro vibe and I love it too bits!

These cute sunnies arrived with my Brocade midi skirt from Asos. I soon as I saw them they reminded me of an updated version of something John Lennon might have worn, they were about $20.00 and the quality is just as nice as my Ray-Ban Wayfarers.

Also these are the one of the pairs of shoes that I got on sale at Target. They were originally $40, but I got them for the lucky price of $28! I was really surprised when they straps did up around my ankle, usually shoes from chain stores with ankle straps do not do up on my feet! So I was super happy when they fit me so well :)

OOTN: All Mixed Up.

So I'm one lucky doll! Because even though it's Sunday here, my Torrid order finally arrived! When I say arrived.. it was just left on my door step. Arg! Do not get me started on Australia Post.. driving me insane lately! But back to my Torrid order... I got some really cute dresses! Being on the opposite end of the seasons overseas can really have its advantages!

Mesh Layer Tartan Dress (24US) - Torrid
Studded Belt (XL) - City Chic
Aqua Wedges (US12) - Torrid
Clutch - Witchery
Small Stud Earrings - ASOS

I saw this. I loved this. I bought this... if only the rest of a persons life could be that simple! I adored this dress from the moment I saw it online! I loved the tulle underneath and the bust on it. I love when there are little "cups" ( I can't think of the right word to describe it) in the bust area, I think it really adds detail to pieces.

It did come with it's own belt, But It was a thin patent one, and I like the look of the studs with the tartan, very C.Bradshaw.. if I do say so myself. This is a super old belt that I picked up on sale at City Chic, for about $15 and it works with a lot of different things. I'm really into belts at the moment, I love how the create shape and can really change an outfit.

Checking for wardrobe malfunctions!
I titled this post "All Mixed Up" because nothing in this outfit matches. It all clashes and it all works together and it just proves time and time again that most rules you should completely forget about and just do what works for you!

I love this clutch from Witchery, It was $89.95 - Which after paying $39.95 for the same quality clutches at Colette I felt was super over priced, but I fell in love with it... I also had a credit note for something that I had returned, so my guilt soon subsided.

I can't wait to show you the other three dresses that I got from Torrid! They are super beautiful! :)

OOTD: The Skirt.

So I know the title of this post is really simple, But I'm going to let this skirt do ALL the talking. I purchased this recently from Asos, and I was a little nervous about getting it, mostly because it has no stretch in the waist band. But all my worries were for nothing, I actually feel really silly for having worried about it at all, it's Asos we're talking about, and their fit, to me is always perfect!

Now the first shot, its a bit funny. I thought a bird was going to attack me (I have a fear of birds), it didn't attack, but I love this photo! I love when the mistake photos turn out to be the best! I feel like this could be a still out of an old Hitchcock movie... ooo the one where all the birds attack! There you go!

Black Lace Shoulder  Top (22) - Estelle for MYER / Sequin Bolero (2) - Torrid
Black Velvet Bow Headband - Target
Blue Brocade Midi Skirt (US22) - ASOS Curve
Berry Pumps (12) - Gifted by Torrid

But see what I mean? It's THE skirt. A skirt that when I was younger never thought would be available in my size. In fact I look at my closet and it's pretty dream like. Disregarding size, any girl would be over the moon with the clothes that hang off my coat hangers. But Asos have started playing with my heart strings again, and this skirt is the beginning of a rekindled romance...ok I think I need a boyfriend!

It such a pretty colour, and these photos do not show the detail in the skirt. Its blue but with a hint of gold. And it feels really full, I'm now thinking about looking into getting a petticoat just to make it really stand out. Now the thing I was concerned about with this skirt was the fact that unlike the other midi skirts that ASOS Curve brought out, this does not have a stretch, elastic waist band. But its a NON-issue. I can fit my arm inside the waist band along with my body! Its an amazing fit!

I love how lady-like this skirt is. It's shape, it's volume. The fact that it gives me a waist! Big bonus in my book. But I think its texture is my favourite thing. When you wear it, not only do you feel all Grace Kelly but you can't help but want to touch it. It looks like it would be very stiff, but nope. It's crazy soft and feels so beautiful. And its not a smooth material, it has almost a very subtle lifted pattern to it, its very hard to describe and I'm sure I'm not doing it justice, but it's safe to say it's stunning. It actually remind's me of the full skirts that I've seen in Vogue Magazine, And I'm sure it was on the Louis Vuitton Runway!

Of course I teamed them with a bright pair of pumps, which I think helps the blue stand out even more, not that it needs any help! What do you think? Are you loving the new collection from Asos Curve? I know I have a few pieces on their way to me!

OOTN: On the Prowl.

Leopard Faux Fur Coat (US26/28) - DKNY, Gifted by Lane Bryant
Tea Dress (US22) - Asos Curve
"Peacock" Tights (3/4) - Torrid
Black Mary Jane Wedges (US12) - Torrid

I think the leopard print may have gone to my head when I put this outfit together, because I do look rather risqué!  But I like it - I think this is a perfect outfit for the night on the town and this beautiful coat that was sent to me from Lane Bryant is so so so so so perfect to wear with a LBD. :)

This DKNY coat is so amazeballs smexy, there really aren't any or enough words that describe how lovely it is! I've been dying for some leopard print in my closet and this is the perfect addition! I will say that I sized up in this coat, just to be safe with sizing. I find that with most designer brands, and this is DKNY, that they can be on the smaller side, this fit me perfectly. It does have snap buttons on the front, pockets and is just so warm! Perfect for this little cold snap we have had last night and today!

I love where the pockets are placed, perfect for keeping your hands warm. It doesn't have a big collar on it, but its high enough that you can pop it up and it stops any chills getting in. Its a perfect little coat, you could wear it with just about anything!

Also how amazing are these tights?! Thank you Torrid for making such amazing tights for curvettes, I've never had such a sweet collection of tights in my entire life!! Such a happy girl, am I!

Thank you again to Lane Bryant for gifting me two stunning, beautiful and very special DKNY pieces. <3
