It didn't occur to me straight away to put this outfit together, because I thought it would be a little too much in one outfit. But because the Bed Jacket and shoes from Torrid don't overtake my leather skirt, but compliment it, I think it works. There's probably a million people who disagree, but whatever. I love it. You all know I adore my leather skirt, and It was seriously worth the money I spent on it, and it really is an investment piece!
Now recently, don't ask me how it happened, but I've ended up with lots of new shoes. I don't even dare to count how many pairs I have now.... but It's a natural obsession for a girl to have. But I saw some celeb or socialite in a fashion magazine wearing these shoes. I think they were like Christian Louboutin's and like $900 or something like that. But I thought , wow those shoes are so sweeeet. So imagine my excitement when Torrid brought out an almost identical pair! For $39.50! And even better, it was during their buy one get one 50% off! Torrid seriously have a great selection of shoes, some of which go up to a size 13 now - which is super amazing for all the tall curvettes out there!
I also love how versatile this bed jacket it. It seems to work with copious amounts of things in my closet. It been really hot last night when I wore this and because the lace is sheer I didn't get hot at all. And don't think my leather skirt is to hot to wear in Summer, it lined with a lovely material so it does not get sweaty or stick to your skin!
I love how this outfit looks, how all the little textures work together.

I Love the skirt!!! I'm seriously thinking of investing in one. I am just having a bit of trouble with the color choices. I love how yours looks almost silky, which I love. I want it to be flirty yet edgy, and I feel like whatever you chose really displays both. What "color/texture" did you chose for your skirt??

ReplyDelete@anon - I picked the basic black, it's versatile and works with all different colors, and styles! I didn't pick a texture, I went for the straight black NOT the textured one :) email if you need any more advice, I'm more than happy to help!
How was your experience with Leathercult.com? I am considering some leather pants and was trying to find someone who could tell me a little about what to expect from them and how to make the most of the ordering process...
ReplyDeleteHi Danica Cleveland - I found them to be excellent to work with. It was a very simple straight forward process. You pick which piece you want, add in your measurements, pick your extra and the pay. You get an email, and they tell you it could take up to three weeks to make, mine took just over two, and was in my warms within three days of their posting it to me. And they will get your measurements spot on, so don't add any extra!
