OOTD: Lace and Lashes! (And a mini, mini review!)

Lace Shift Dress (XL) - Leona + by Leona Edmiston
Pink Ribbon Belt - From a different dress
Shoes (UK9) - Beth Ditto for Evans
Flowers - Free, from Mother Earth

So just under a year ago I attended the MYER "Big is Beautiful" runway show and new season launch at Sydney Fashion Festival. During this runway show, I saw the collection that Leona Edmiston had launched in the plus size department at MYER stores nationally. To be brutally honest, I didn't like a single thing that came out on the cat walk. It was all jersey and a little frumpy, everything I shy away from! And it didn't seem to be up to her usual vintage inspired standard.

But the other day I was in MYER and I found this little gem! I fell in love with the lace straight away, but I wasn't sure on the shape, so I tried it on anyway. Loved it, and bought it, on sale for only $80 ... thank you MYER mid season sale. But my point is, they should have had this on the runway, it has the Leona vibe that I love from her regular collection, and putting the ribbon tie on it make it all the more perfect for me! This for me, is a really sweet and girlie look! LOVE!

Another thing I wanted to talk about, is my new beauty addiction. Faux eye lashes! I saw some Katy Perry ones in Price Line and I couldn't resist getting some to try. I am hooked! I've only every tried false eye lashes before, and I couldn't ever put them on, no matter how many times I tried. So after I got these I did some research on You Tube and watched some videos on how to apply them properly! And oh boy! did it help! I got these ones on first time round! Take a look at my before and after!

These are really natural lashes that my eyes really pop.. which is exactly what I was after. I don't think the lash glue that included is the most amazing one available, but that's easialy fixed with a trip to MAC but the lashes themselves are amazing! I picked these up for about $11 a pack at Price Line, but they were on sale, I think they retail for around $15 usually!

Stay Beautiful!

Until Next Time xox <3

  1. Oh that dress is pretty, I just love black lace, it's so elegant and timeless. False eyelashes are amazing! I really want to try eyelash extensions too eventually!

    1. Lash extensions suck, just warning you. They use a hard black glue that unless it's applied really thin, it is noticable. And it's very uncomfortable to sleep in, let alone showering while wearing goggles!!! Lol. Stick to falsies.

    2. Love that dress. It's adorable.
And to Natalie, I think eyelash extensions suck. The glue is so hard that you can feel it digging in, especially if you wipe your eyes on sleep on them. Also, you have to shower while wearing goggles for 3 days, I had them for my wedding and couldn't wait to get them off.
