OOTD: Stay By The Seaside With Me.

I thought I had a really bad dress addiction, but lately it's more coming more of a skirt obsession. I just adore that skirts have the easiness of a dress but are still an individual piece that you get to style up in a lot more ways. This new beauty from Asos Curve is no exception. I was a little worried what this skirt would be like after I had to send back the last skirt I ordered due to the material being really plastic-y (is that a word yet?), but I was pleasantly surprised!

Black Lace Shoulder Tee (22) - Estelle For Myer
Navy Blue Ribbon - Spotlight
White Eyelet Broidery Skirt (US22) - ASOS Curve
Bag - Guess
Shoes (11) - Target

It's actually a really lovely material. So, so soft and summery... it's a shame we are going into winter here in Australia, but I am 1000% sure that it will come in nice and handy during my upcoming trip to the USA. The lining underneath is more of a bright peachy coral (with a pink undertone) than orange. It's a very, very pretty shade, which doesn't come through too strongly and doesn't clash with anything, I was scared that it might!

Okay, I feel like I've had this colour ribbon belt on in everyone of my last outfit posts, but I didn't realise how much navy blue actually goes with. It obviously goes really, really well with white, but because of the black and the coral colour underneath it wasn't too nautical, but if I had a striped top (and believe me, I'm am constantly on the search for the perfect one, because I don't own any) and I would have been ready to get on board a yacht and sail my way to the French Seaside.  Just saying... Bonjour!

How cute is this little guess bag, I picked it up for around $60 from Strandbags. In my lifetime it's the second Guess bag that I have picked up for a ridiculously low price. I just love it's little retro vibe, so cute!

I think you could style this down with an oversized blouse loosely tucked in, a hint of gold with a simple necklace, nude heels and your ready for a lunch date. I'm glad I'm letting more white into my life! Speaking of which, I cannot wait to be able to show you all my dress for the White Cruise during Fashion Week in NYC! It is off the scale and the designer has done an amazing job! Better than amazing actually!

OOTN: Science & Faith.

I found the most amazing top yesterday at Myer and I just couldn't wait to show you! I have been lusting after a top like this for ages, I've seen similar tops on other bloggers around the globe and wish those tops were mine! I damn near fainted in Myer when I saw the last one of these in my size!

Sequin Top (22) - Estelle for Myer
Bubble Hem Skirt (US22) - Asos Curve
Rings - GLITTERRINGS (Gifted) & Samantha Wills
Aqua Wedges (12) - Torrid

Admittedly I didn't style this up too much or tuck it in. I just wanted to keep it super simple and let the top be the centre of attention. I kind of feel when you have one piece that is big on texture, you can still keep the rest of your outfit quirky but try not to let anything else over take it.

As beautiul as this top is, and it REALLY is it has a really weird under top, that is shorter and a little tighter than the actual top is... it's not a flaw, it's just a little annoying. But I love it so much It's not that big of a deal breaker for me.

To be honest, I don't even think these photos show the colour off well enough. It's coming across like a dark chocolate, but its more like a deep goldy bronze.. which is just divine! You would think that this would ease my need for more sequins. But no... not at all. It makes me want more of them is anything!

At least these photos show you just how much it actually glimmers and shines! Yes I love sequins, but I'm picky about them. They have to be a certain kind of sequin, that looks luxe and lovely. That gleams in just the right way when the light hits it... yes, I'm very particular about sequins, to say the least!

By the way, some of you have been asking for close up shots, so hopefully you like that I've included them in the last few posts!

Cheap & Chic: Luxe Glitter.

I think by now, you know I love a good designer piece to reside inside my closet. Doesn't every girl? But every now and again, you just have to save those pennies and try to find pieces that are "designer" inspired to help your bank balance as well as your outfit.

From here on out, Too Many Sequins is going to show you my Cheap & Chic finds and exactly how to get that designer sparkle in your closet, hopefully sometimes for less! I recently noticed a little trend, which I keep incredibly close to my heart. Glitter. Shoes, tops, nail polish... there are literally a 100 ways to get this trend into your look. But the one I love most right this minute, glitter clutches!

Colette, Square Glitter Hard Case Clutch, $39.95, Available in store and online.

Now I have seen this one with my own eyes and it has the most lovely shimmer and shine I have ever seen! At it doesn't have a bad price to go with it! It also comes in a black version which I think would look amaze with a very colourful outfit, again ignoring the rules that say that "black and colour do not go together", I promise they do!

Anya Hindmarch, "Valorie" Glitter Clutch, $559.49, Available at Saks.com

This one, is the real deal and the bees knees, for sure! It's lovely and simply stunning. It can be teamed with just about anything everything and it won't clash but it will add that little extra drama to what ever you might have on!

Like I said above, there are a million ways to get the glitter trend into your life and style, but be warned glitter nail polish is the devil to remove! But remember, you don't need a million dollars to look it!

OOTN: Dark Paradise

It's funny how things work out, yesterday my Trend Report goes up and today my Asos order arrives. Full of nothing but pastels! Now usually I find with anything I order from Asos I adore it and love it. But I was really disappointed in this order from Asos Curve. Two of the items are already packed up to go back, one was due to being a very small cut and the other was really bad quality...but that's just the way it goes sometimes, can't win em all! But... enough of the negative, lets move on the the positive!

Lilac Pastel Dress (US22) - Asos Curve
Navy Blue Necklace - Colette
Navy Blue Ribbon Belt - Spotlight
Black Peeptoe Shoes (11) - Emerson for Big W.

Now to be honest with you, I might have had this dress on back to front with out noticing, But I don't think it really matters, because the lace difference between the front and the back isn't as dramatic as the photos on Asos.com lead me to believe - but that is just my opinion. Wear it how ever you like it best, but don't they say it's lucky to put stuff on back to front... or is that inside out?

Now if you order this dress, and please do, don't be scared when you open your parcel.... like I was. It is a really, REALLY and BRIGHT pastel lavender. And its A LOT of pastel, even for a girl like me, who wears a lot of brights and colours! But as soon as I pulled out this new navy blue ribbon I just knew I was heading in the right direction, I then added this cute navy necklace that you saw in this post here. One of the best under $10 finds ever! The dark colour really helps give depth to this dishy lilac shade and the bow belt also makes it extra girlie!

The reason I love bow belts so much is because your not limited by being a certain size. Just go in and buy the length you need, I have 1.5 meters here and at $3.99 a metre, it's a pretty cheap belt, especially when it looks so lush. So just jot that down in your beauty notebook!

Ahh... I cannot tell you how fabulous it feels to have my hair cut all bobby like again! I missed it so much! My hair stylist Paul really has out done himself this time and I'm just in love with my hair right now! If any of you are in the Blue Mountains please go and see him and the rest of the team at Euphoria Hair in Leura, YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED! Paul is a Fashion Week Hair Veteran, he's just amazing, I adore him to bits (if you can't tell) and he will do wonders for your crowning glory!!  Contact Euphoria on (02) 4784 3801, do it! Right now! Ring!

UPDATE: I've had a few people ask me what the sizing and quality is like for this Asos Dress. The sizing is bang on perfect. And the quality is one of the nicest I have had from Asos in little while. The fabric is a really soft, slightly sheer chiffon! And it has an underskirt that has a soft stretch to it.

Another question I've had is how dress do I think it is?! Well if I'm honest It's dressy enough for Tea with Her Majesty The Queen. Or at the very least Catherine Middleton!

Trend Report: Pastels.

I've never been a big believer in following "trends", well more a big belier in never wearing a trend head to toe but.. I love how injecting some of the trend can instantly update an outfit. Trend reporting is something that I am going to start on Too Many Sequins at regular intervals, and show you trend inspired pieces & accessories, available in curvette sizes!

Louis Vuitton.
Prada
Valentino
 * Images sourced from Glamour *
Pastels were seen all over the catwalks from Valentino, Louis Vuitton too Preen, as well as Prada, just to name a few. And Just because we are curvettes doesn't mean we have to miss out on this dreamy trend! Can you tell I love it yet?

Luckily Asos always comes to the trend party, and I have already purchased some of the following pieces! I love the way Asos makes something available to everyone, and to me their mix of price, quality, fit and selection will see me be a customer or life, no doubt about!

Daisy Lace Skater Dress, Lilac, $66.28, Available at Asos.com
Pretty Gingham Skirt, In Lavender, $58.00, Available at Asos.com
Umbrella Skirt in Broidery, $58.00, Available at Asos.com
*Exclusive to Curve*
Lace Short with Scallop Edge, $49.71, Available at Asos.com
* Exclusive to Curve *
* Images sourced at Asos.com *
I adore these shorts! You could pair them with an oversized tee or singlet and a huge statement necklace with flats, and BOOM, an amazing outfit! Even with winter coming here in Australia (I almost froze today, no joke) I almost caved on these shorts just with thoughts of that outfit! I cannot wait to see these on someone!

If your not in love with the idea of wearing a pastel dresses or lace shorts, why not update your existing closet with simply lush pastel shoes or accessories. This is also a great way of dripping your toe into a trend with out spending too much.

Jeffrey Campbell Night Walk, $169.95, available from solestruck.com

Rachel Comey "Mars" Boots, $384.95, available at solestruck.com
Asos Weave Metal Bar Clutch, $49.74, Available at Asos.com
Asos Cat Eye Sunglasses, $19.90, Available at Asos.com

I love this super sweet, girlie trend. And its affecting everything from beanies to skinny jeans, and even if your not a pastel sweet heart, there are lots of fun ways to inject a bit of cupcake  frosting into your outfits!

OOTD: Orange County.

You know those moment in life, when you grab a glimpse of yourself, or thinking about the plans your making, and think "wow, I have come such a long way" - today was one of those days for me.

I was just thinking about how far I have come in life, not just since I started blogging, but from the days where I was the girl that was picked on, who didn't really have friends because I wasn't "cool" enough to be in the it crowd and from the girl who would only wear jeans and simply horrid over sized printed tees... trust me even though this is a trend now, I was not wearing a fashionable version of it!

And here I am now planning trips to New York, hopefully Paris next year (I said hopefully). Working in Fashion, attending Fashion Week, and I have the most amazing group of friends. I've learnt that it's ok not to fit in, I've learnt it's actually better to stand out and be yourself. I've learnt that "IT" girls didn't always hang out with the cool girls in school. But the biggest lesson that I've learnt is that fashion IS for everyone, not just a select few. So anyone reading this, don't think that you can't wear this or that, or wear a trend because your plus size. Rules, in my opinion are generally made to be broken, so if you see something you like, that makes your soul fly and your heart pump with excitement, if not for anyone's sake but my own, PLEASE TRY IT ON!

Orange Top (L) - Estelle for Myer
"I Love My Nan" Necklace - Sophie Hulme
Belt (4) - Torrid
Black sheer Hi-Lo Skirt (XL) - Supre
"Stam" Handbag - Marc Jacobs
Ring - Diva
Black Peeptoe Shoes (11) - Emerson for Big W
Beanie - Torrid

I'm not even there yet, but I feel as thought I am already dressing like I am in NYC - at least in my head I am. I think I am slowly working out what to take with me, but I say this weekly, and I will probably quickly fold half my wardrobe the night before, pray and hope during my flight, that I have everything I need packed! I mean what's the worst that could happen? I might have to buy something in New York? That would be simply horrible, right?

Another amazing find by Estelle - I have seriously been trying to get into contact with their brand but no one seems to know how! Even the staff at Myer - so if anyone from Estelle is looking at this post please inbox me! There is no website that I know of and they don't seem to advertise either, which is a little annoying because you never know if there is any new stock to go an check out and I REALLY LOVE AND ADORE their pieces, they are so girlie and pretty and let's not forget incredibly well made!

These photos clearly tell me that I need a haircut, and it's happening Thursday!  Before Christmas I was the girl that was in the salon every 6 weeks, but since December I have been going non-stop, and only had the chance for one chop! I'll be taking at least a cm off the length, and I think it will look much sharper! I've enjoyed having it longer..but I kind of miss my bob.

Also everyday of late I have been rocking a winged eye linger, I just love that it allows me to be so simple in the rest of make up and that it lets my eyes do all the talking. Just to let you all know my make up addiction isn't anywhere near as bad as my addiction to clothes is!

Thank you to you all for reading such a long winded, rambling post! Blogging is a wonderful process, and it can someone help cleanse the mind and spirit too!

Stay Beautiful!
