Aussie Curves: Feminine Charm

So this weeks theme, Feminine. Perfect for me, don't you think? While getting dresses I said "this weeks theme is feminine, what should I wear that's feminine?" to which he replied, everything you own is feminine. And I guess he's right, everything I own is feminine, even the more outlandish pieces are! So for our brunch date I threw on my my romantic top and a basic cotton skirt, a sample from my label Charming, and off we went for brunch and a beautiful walk through a local park.

Undercover Lover

The weather has been really very odd lately. Warm days, like today or rain so heavy your shoes feel like puddles. So when I saw a the sunshine break through, I took the chance to wear something that wasn't going to get drenched! It was still a little chilly but not too freezing.
I think I tried and put this trench on hold at least 10 times. I just couldn't be 100% sure of it, especially when it was $180 but, when I saw it go on sale, and I mean sale at City Chic - I went for it. It got reduced to $80, which is a massive $100 off and the quality really is fabulous. It has a beautiful pleather sleeve, which helps it stand apart from your basic, all over beige trench.

The Perfect Day

Over the weekend, I spend the most beautiful Saturday with my boyfriend. I also met his wonderful Mother for the very first time. To say that it was one of the most beautiful and happy days of my life, is a true understatement. I will not gush on how lovely it was, as there will never be enough words to describe how I truly felt all day. But I'm sure I was walking around like a fool in love with the biggest smile on my face.

Now, these pants. Even though Harlow calls them leggings, I'm thinking that they are definitely deserving of the title of pants. Faux leather pants. The reason I feel that they can be called pants, over leggings is because of the fit, especially around the ankle. They are just perfect, and I'm going to beg Harlow to send me another (please!) because I adore them!

I wore them from about 9 am that day, until just about midnight (right before I turned into a pumpkin) and they did not even once go out of shape. They sat through coffee, walking around the city, having drinks, going to dinner and then they watched The Great Gatsby. And not once did they sag, ride up or need any readjustments what so ever.

 Perfect Pants.

A note about this tunic. I ordered the pink version from Lovedrobe, then the white version turned up on New Look - so I ordered it from there, but it never arrived. So I went down a size and ordered it from Lovedrobe and it totally fit fine.... now I just have to wait for New Look to refund me for  it not turning up.. but my point is, this dress is quite roomy! So if you wanted to order it from Lovedrobe, who also happen to have cheaper worldwide shipping - go for it!

Now I guess the following photos could be describe as happy snaps, I switched over to my Diana lens which gives your photos this beautiful retro glow, and I have to say it's rather fitting as that is how I felt. Glowing.

Aussie Curves: Green With Envy.

So this weeks Aussie Curves Challenge, may even top sequins for me! Green is one of my top 5, if not my favourite colour in the entire colour wheel. It makes my skin pop and it makes me think of rich and luxurious things.

I ummed and & ahhed about this dress for simply ages on Saks.com - but when it went on sale and there was a $20 shipping discount code (which if you are an online shopper, know how cheap that is for shipping from the US), I knew I had to have it! It's such a shame its now to cold to wear it! So I took these photos inside, I couldn't miss out on wearing it for Aussie Curves Green Week! Even my nails are green, totally getting into the spirit of things!

Also, I am road testing a new skin care and foundation routine & I am loving the results so far! I can really notice in the photos, how different my skin looks!

Babydoll

So I'm not sure if it was the colour, the baby doll shape or just the fact that it had amazing texture at the top, but this dress was ordered in about 5 minutes. I had originally wanted it in the cream colour but Lovedrobe had sold out in my size. But I was still so happy to be able to purchase a dress like this that I snapped up this coral one!

Happily two nights ago New Look stocked this dress in their inspire range in both colours! Here and here, so I quickly snapped up the cream colour along with another dress. New Look really seem to be stepping up their game, but I really wish Asos would just stock every plus size brand already, I get spoilt not having to pay shipping with them - So spoilt, that it makes me really think about any purchases I may make with another brand.

One note about this dress, if your any taller than I am and I'm about 5'11 (with out heels) you may need to get the length altered. Which would be easy enough by simply adding some lace to the edge. But I felt, that even though it was probably a little on the short side, it was still very forgiving and I never once felt "exposed" by it's lack of length. But then again I'm ok with anything that might be on the short side.
